We have been married now for TWO years! Number one, where does the time go? Number two, I still love you just as much as the day I realized I loved you (which was about our third date).
I am sitting here on our bed with our 10-month old snuggled up beside me. It is Saturday and you are at the end of the bed reading a Star Wars book, in true Kyle fashion. We just got back from our new weekend tradition of taking a beach walk and getting McDonald’s for breakfast. I love our beautiful life together. Even though we are crammed in my childhood room and barely get sleep because of a little squishy guy who is too cute/fun to make us even care.
This time two years ago we were running around The Newland Barn taping placemats to the tables, carting in all of the wine and beers and adding all of the finishing touches on our big day. We had the best wedding we could have imagined! Surrounded by family and friends, from near and far, we ate delicious In-N-Out, danced the night away and made some great memories.
We even had such a blast planning and making everything for the wedding together. Sometimes you hear about partners who are uninterested in the process, well, you were there 1000% of the way. You basically burnt off your fingerprints to make those hanging wine bottles, and that my friends, is true love. You stayed up into the wee hours the night before the wedding finishing our seating chart, which we should have had done probably weeks before hahah But you were such a trooper and it solidified how great of a team we make.
You are the love of my life, the best dad to our little dude and my biggest fan. I can’t thank you enough for everything you do for Kade and I. I will continue to love you every minute of every day for the rest of our days.
Now, let’s go out for the first time in… 6 months and get a La Capilla Margarita in honor of our special day and our special love. Cheers to us and many more happy years to come!
I love you Kyle,
