Chai on National Chai Day!

It has been about 200 degrees here in southern California so getting into the fall spirit has been kind of hard. But last week when I went to Trader Joe’s I decided to get some chai to bring that fall spirit about.

I love Starbucks and Peet’s Coffee. I would go all the time if it weren’t so expensive and wasteful. Do I go once or twice a week? Yes. Should I go less? Probably, yes. So I have been trying to find other ways to make those delicious treats at home. I would love to eventually get an espresso machine to make everything at home… someday!

I got chai teabags so I could enjoy a mid-afternoon pick me up without spending $4 a day. The box of teabags cost me about $4 and will last about a month (depending on if I have 4 a day or not…)!

I usually make a cup in the morning with my coffee and put it in the fridge so I can enjoy it after Kade’s second nap without having to take much time to prepare it. I take it out of the fridge, add ice cubes, cream and sometimes sugar. BOOM. DONE! It is a way cheaper and less sugary option than Starbucks which is a win! I hope this helps some fellow poor Starbucks addicts out there hahah

Thanks for checking in today!

Love, Tasman
